Advisory Committee

Program objective

The OC Advisory Committee meets weekly to discuss topics of interest, offering participants the opportunity to learn about current issues, along with the chance to understand how meetings are held.

Committee members are shown how to set and follow an agenda, given opportunity to chair the meeting, educated in how to conduct themselves and what is expected in terms of contribution and outcomes. Guest speakers are often invited to keep participants informed of current trends in self-advocacy for people with disabilities.
