On Friday 2nd June, we had our annual OC Connections Dinner Dance! This year’s theme was Bright and Bold, and attendees delivered standout looks with lots of gold, glitter and florals.
Dressed in our fancy outfits, participants enjoyed a two-course meal at Merrimu Receptions. A big thank you to the attentive and friendly staff; the food was amazing and the service even better. Raffle prizes were drawn with winners receiving hampers of scented soaps, chocolates, and a range of wonderful goodies. The Best Dressed award went to Jenny for her gorgeous sparkling dress!
DJ Flash Gordon, accompanied by disco-fan Bart, played an upbeat collection of music that kept us on our feet. We boogied to iconic tracks including the Time Warp, Thriller and the Nutbush – it was great to connect with everyone through laughter and movement on the dance floor.
The Boothalicious Photo Booth captured many fun moments throughout the night. Attendees went home with dozens of pictures printed on-the-spot, wearing a range of bold accessories in front of Hollywood, the ocean and other themed backgrounds.
Thank you to our hardworking, passionate Dinner Dance team – Janet, Jules, Ati, Sam and Caroline – for the impeccable preparation and delivery of a great event. Your contributions made this a night to remember.
The Dinner Dance is all about celebrating our community, growing friendships, and unwinding with excellent food and tunes. OC Connections would like to thank all the wonderful participants, families, support workers and staff who attended – we can’t wait for the next one!
