Erica’s birthday was certainly different this year but it was still a day full of celebrations!
It was a very full and exciting day for Rockbeare resident, Erica. The festivities began when she arrived for breakfast when everyone sang happy birthday to her.
Erica was presented with her gift and was excited to open it. She was happy to find a hat and a new pair of shoes. It was a well thought out gift. Erica loves hats!
Erica and the Rockbeare residents enjoyed a special morning tea. Everyone loved the chocolate sponge with cream and cherries from Ferguson Plarre Bakehouse.
The birthday celebrations continued in the afternoon with the household sitting down together for a BBQ lunch.
Afterwards, Erica enjoyed a couple of lively Zoom and Skype calls with family members and friends from other OC Connections houses.
Erica was happy to see everyone, albeit virtually, and enjoyed her special birthday even under the current circumstances.
A birthday in lockdown may have turned out to be more fun than expected.
