Congratulations to OC Connections’ participants Craig, Darren and Damian who came home from the National Special Olympics with an array of golf, silver and bronze medals from their Bocce events.
The men travelled by plane to Launceston for the five-day competition with the support of a support worker. They were very excited and happy that they were selected to compete in individual, pairs and team events.
Craig’s sisters Jo and Margaret attended the events in support of the three men. Margaret said of the experience: “the Special Olympics was such a wonderful, positive and extremely special experience for Craig, Darren and Damien and all the participating athletes from throughout Australia. We are very proud of them all. We are very proud of them all,”
