A huge shout out to our supported employee Joanne who donated 20 hand-made blankets to the St Kilda Mums charity, ensuring a warmer winter for babies in need. Joanne works at OC Connections Enterprises and buys wool from Savers and op-shops in her spare time. Joanne loves to sit and knit while she’s watching the footy at home, and this year she put her talents to great use.
St Kilda Mums is a charity which provides cots, bedding and material goods to mothers and babies facing hardship. Lucy from St Kilda Mums gave Joanne a tour of their warehouse where they accept and distribute donations.
Joanne, who is the mother of an adult daughter, wanted nothing in return for her donation and was pleased to know that her blankets were going to people in need.
Well done Joanne on your great knitting skills and wonderful community spirit!
