To help combat the spread of the new Delta strain of COVID-19, the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) has changed their advice about the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Their new advice encourages people in areas with high case numbers to have their second dose earlier – after four weeks instead of 12. They are also suggesting people under 60 think about getting the AstraZeneca if they live in these same areas.
