As coronavirus continues to be a serious risk to public health throughout Victoria, the Premier extended the pandemic declaration on Tuesday 5 July, 2022 to apply for three more months.
This extension enables the Minister for Health to continue public health and other protective measures to reduce the risk of transmission and hospitalisation. This means the pandemic order guidance for community services will remain in place until 11.59pm on Wednesday 12 October 2022. You can read the Premier’s full statement on the Premier of Victoria’s website.
We would like to remind our community that as a disability support provider, the COVIDSafe guidelines and care directives that we are required to follow, are different from those in the general community. Mask wearing and PPE, regular rapid antigen testing and reporting, social distancing and density guidelines are still requirements at all of our sites.
We urge all staff, visitors and families to ensure that they are across these requirements when visiting any of our sites and contact us for clarification, if required.
We have worked long and hard to ensure the safety of our community and we will continue to do so.
