Samuel, Janet, Shirley, Belinda, Linda and Stephen all took to the Catalyst Training Toastie van on 28 February to cook and sell toasties to the staff at OC Connections Enterprises (OCCE).
This opportunity forms part of the Certificate I in Work Education, run by Catalyst Training.
All six of the participants work as supported employees at OCCE and are undertaking the Certificate to gain an insight into other work options and requirements. In addition to the experience in the Toastie van, participants will undertake work experience at companies of their own choosing.
Not only was it a great experience for the participants, but it was also an opportunity for staff to get hold of some good food, with staff from the 773 Warrigal road office driving over to Oakleigh South to get their hands on a toastie.
