The Metropolitan Golf Club opened it’s doors to the public to “Play for a Cause” in January in a show of community support for OC Connections.
More than 95 golfers played on the day, enjoying beautiful weather and access to the top notch facilities.
Organised by The Metropolitan Golf Club Membership and Guest Services Manager, Ben Jarvis, the event allowed the general public to play the otherwise members only golf course for an afternoon. All proceeds were generously donated to OC Connections and will assist in continuing the OC Achieve Fund which supports non-funded programs and our participants.
Ben accompanied The Metropolitan Golf Club’s President, Russell Fynmore and General Manager, Peter Paccagnan on Tuesday 5 February to present the cheque to OC Connections Chair, Peter Willcocks at Warrigal Road. Participants, Alyson, Vicki, David and Greg were in attendance to show their appreciation of the support shown from the club.
“We are very fortunate to share a close relationship with The Metropolitan Golf Club and for the support they show OC Connections via the Golf Day and the Women Members’ market day and hope to continue this relationship well into the future.” said Therese Desmond, CEO.
