The OC Connections (OCC) Participant Reference Group has been praised for their contribution and useful feedback at a focus group run by The Information Access Group. Their greatly valued feedback has already been used to refine NDIS material ensuring that it is more accessible before distributing to the broader community.
The Information Access Group is a communication agency that specialises in accessibility. They believe that information should be accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disability and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Vicki Hayes, OCC General Manager Engagement and Partnerships said “The OCC Participant Reference Group really enjoyed the experience and look forward to participating in new focus groups.”
An OC Connections Enterprises (OCCE) participant group had earlier paved the way by participating in a similar program with great success. The group were asked to road test OC Connections documents to ensure that they were user-friendly and accessible.
The work of these focus groups and the insights and advice they share is critical to effectively communicating important OC Connections and NDIS information to people living with intellectual disability. We’d like to thank them all for volunteering for this important role.
