This program provides an opportunity to volunteer at a community farm and take part in a variety of fun and educational activities. Throughout the day, participants check and top up feed and water for the animals, collect and distribute farm equipment, check on the health and well-being of animals and discuss farm management with the staff and other volunteers. Participants also enjoy a lunch of local produce at the farm café.
The day provides opportunity to develop relationships, practice money-handling skills, be responsible for equipment and caring for animals.
