OC Connections understands that life simply doesn’t end with a nine-to-five, Monday-to-Friday routine. Living life is so much more: it’s about what we do on the weekends, catching a movie or dinner with friends after work or taking a well-earned holiday.
Our My Holidays program offers participants the choice of many supported activities held after hours and on weekends. These community-based activities include:
- Tenpin bowling
- Dinner at local restaurants
- AFL matches
- Live bands
- Go karting
A full list of what activities are offered, along with times and costs, is published every few months in the Activities Newsletter (please click the picture to the right to download a copy or email us here to be sent a hard copy).
Participants wanting to join OC Connections’ My Holidays program must first complete a registration form . As the program is not government funded, activities are largely costed on a ‘user pays’ basis and participants pay through an Individual Support Package (ISP), NDIS or respite funding. Please contact us here to request a registration form.
My Holidays staff attend all activities with groups of five to 10 clients. Staff ratios will depend on required support needs. If one-to-one support is needed, it can be provided for an additional charge.
OC Connections staff are also assisted by volunteers who attend most activities and holidays to provide social support. All volunteers registered with OC Connections have undertaken training and a full police check. Click here to find out more about our volunteering program.
