Taylor joined OC Connections in June 2019 after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Monash University.
Taylor immediately felt part of the OC team with staff, participants and families welcoming her with open arms. She particularly loves the close connection that staff and participants share.
Taylor’s role involves assisting participants to understand their NDIS plans and linking them with services and supports to empower them to reach their NDIS goals. She works with the NDIS to organise review meetings and refine participant plans.
The disability sector was attractive to Taylor because it gave her the opportunity to assist people living with a disability to create meaningful social connections and to have control over the way they live their lives.
Taylor is interested in learning more about allied health services available for people living with disability and to further explore of the application and benefits of Positive Behaviour Support.
In 2020 Taylor volunteered at a Women’s Education project in Kathmandu Nepal, that assists women to access education and learn about technology.
