ABOUT THIS SESSION
Self-managing NDIS funding and employing one’s own supports is a very empowering way to have control. However, people may be discouraged thinking that self-management is a difficult process. In this seminar Jan Kruger, from Canberra will cover the following topics:
- The importance of vision and strategies for creative planning,
- Ways you can manage your NDIS funding,
- What is self-management?
- Why self-manage – the pros and cons?
- How to self-manage? What’s involved and what you need to do?
- Hints for planning meetings with the NDIA,
- Employing workers – different ways,
- Do you have to do this all on your own?
