Deb joined OC Connections in December 2018. She holds disability and aged care certificates and diplomas.

Her first impression of OC Connections was that it was extremely busy but also a safe, welcoming and happy place.

Deb’s role involves working with many clients over the phone, email and in person.  She assists participants and their nominees to understand their NDIS plans and assesses how to implement the plan to best achieve their goals. She makes provider bookings, arranges service agreements, makes referrals to allied health professionals, attends plan review meetings, and prepares client reports for the NDIS and much more.

Deb was a Personal Assistant before she retrained in order to take on a more meaningful career in disability, mental health and aged care.

Deb was attracted to the disability sector because she wanted to assist people who do not have a voice. She is passionate about advocacy and loves to make people smile. Currently her focus is to negotiate through the NDIS system, break it down and share information to participants in a more usable and understandable format.
