The Oakleigh Centre is delighted to announce staff member, Lexi Clarke, has been nominated as a finalist in the Emerging Leader category of the 2015 Victorian Disability Sector Awards.
Since joining the Centre 14 years ago, Lexi, has breathed fresh life into both staff and clients with her enthusiasm and dedication to transform the way in which people with disability are treated and viewed. With her leadership qualities, initiation of new programs and determination to improve the lives of others, Lexi is undoubtedly a worthy advocate for the disability sector.
In her time with the organisation, Lexi has worked with our Connections program, established a Learning and Development department, and currently manages one of the Centre’s congregate care facilities in Allen St, Oakleigh.
The winners will be announced on Tuesday 21 July during a special awards ceremony to be held at Zinc restaurant in Federation Square.
The awards celebrate the achievements of individuals, teams, organisations and businesses assisting people with a disability to achieve their personal goals and are a joint initiative between National Disability Services and the Department of Health & Human Services.
